Memory of Russia: “Rusborg 2012” International Festival of historical reconstruction in Lipetsk Region

May 9, 2012 in the Lipetsk region ended "Rusborg-2012", historical reconstruction of the early Middle Ages festival, attended by 8000 visitors from all over the world. At Snake Mountain a real camp of nomads and Slavs was set up. The number of direct participants of the festival was more than 700 people.

"The highlight of the program" was a staged battle of Viking using axes, swords and spears.

Festival guests visited the blacksmith and pottery workshops and participated in master classes for the manufacture of objects of medieval life; practiced javelin throwing, archery. Tourists were also attracted by the fair, where one could buy historic household items, as well as beautiful brass and silver jewelry.
