Marking the 67th anniversary of the Great Victory: “Tatarstan – Rear Base of the Victory” Exhibition in Moscow

May 5, 2012 the Central Museum of Great Patriotic War in Moscow presents "Tatarstan - the Rear Base of the Victory. 1941-1945" exhibition of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. It is dedicated to the 67th anniversary of the Great Victory, and shows the contribution of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic to the defeat of Nazi Germany by the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The core of the exhibition consisted of the original materials on labor exploit of the workers of the republic, the unbreakable connection of the front and the rear. The exhibition includes: samples of military equipment, uniform items, photographs, and documents. The exhibition represents the republic in the war years as the largest logistical base, where more than 70 evacuated industrial enterprises were located, which, jointly with the enterprises of local industry, supplied the front with arms, ammunition and uniforms, planes, etc., without which the front could not do.
