Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Hitachi, announced the release of a new line of unified systems of data storage, Hitachi Unified Storage (HUS). HUS systems ensure greater flexibility and balanced efficiency while working with different data types. On the basis of these systems, customers can arrange the operation of critically important business applications and meet the challenges associated with increasing amounts of data without sacrificing productivity, scalability and price / productivity ratio, according to developers.
In addition, HDS has introduced a new software, Hitachi Application Protector, and declared that all hardware solutions of Hitachi, including a new system of HUS, are now controlled by a single software product, Hitachi Command Suite, which, according to the idea of the company, will enable customers to reduce costs and simplify infrastructure of the data processing centers.
