Memorable dates of Russia: International Theoretical & Practical Conference “Contribution of Bashkiria to the Russian victory in the Patriotic War of 1812” in Ufa

June 8-10, 2012 in Ufa is taking place International Theoretical & Practical Conference "The contribution of Bashkiria to the Russian victory in the war of 1812."

The Conference is devoted to the 200th anniversary of Russia's victory in the war of 1812, as well as to foreign campaigns of 1813-1814. The focus of the conference is the issues related to participation in the war of national military formations and units of the Russian Army, formed in the southern Urals. The program includes plenary sessions and sections, which will address the following issues:

 - Patriotic War of 1812: history, historiography and sources;

- "Northern amours" - the phenomenon of participation of Bashkir cavalry in the Napoleonic Wars of 1812-1814;

- "The chiefs of our national forces" and ordinary members: the year of 1812 in the destinies of people;

- Napoleonic Wars in the historical memory of the peoples;

- Patriotic War of 1812 in museum collections.
