Museums: “Intermuseum” International Museum Festival in Moscow

1 June 2012

1 to June 5, 2012 in Moscow, the Central House of Artists, hosts the International Museum Festival "Intermuseum", an annual forum organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in order to improve the national museum science and the development of international cooperation in the sphere of culture.

"Intermuseum 2012" is the central event in the museum life of our country, an international forum to discuss critical issues of development of museums. The festival is going to bring together over 150 museums of Russia and CIS countries. In order to disclose the main theme of the festival, the largest tour operators and organizations associated with tourism development have been invited to take part in the exhibition and business program.

Traditionally, the festival will host the International Exhibition "Museum Technology and "Technomuseum" Equipment”, bringing together local and foreign organizations that supply equipment for museums and deal with introduction of modern technologies in museum activities.

The forum will be featuring «3D MUSEUM», a special project which gives a comprehensive view of fine arts. 3D-displays and unique video wall WOWZone, consisting of nine 42-inch 3D-monitors, will demonstrate the best works of art from the collections of the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the Borodino Panorama, the Glinka Museum and a picture by K. Makovsky, "Minin’s Appeal", dedicated to an outstanding event - the creation of the Nizhny Novgorod militia in 1612 which saved Russia from foreign invaders.

Currently, the «3DTV-VISION» is intensively preparing for launch of the world's first TV channel «Global Virtual Gallery», a new interactive platform that unites art and its fans throughout the world.
