Society and culture: II All-Russian Forum of Culture in Sochi

July 20, 2012 is Sochi is opening the II All-Russian Forum of Culture. It is held under the auspices of the Cultural Olympiad "Sochi 2014" as a part of the II Marathon of Russian regions. The main purpose of the Marathon is to demonstrate the multi-ethnic and cultural identity of regions of our country. For more than ten days, participants from different parts of Russia will do their numbers which most clearly reflect the identity of every region. In 2012, the Marathon was first held at two venues - in Sochi and in London. In Sochi the festival will take place from 20 July to 12 August, while in London - July 26 - August 12, at Russia.Sochi.Park.

According to the press center of the Organizing Committee of "Sochi 2014", art workers and representatives of business will raise the number of current issues and discuss the role of the humanitarian projects of "Sochi 2014" in the revival of cultural and historical traditions of Russia.

During the Forum, will take place a plenary meeting attended by the Minister of Culture of Russia, Vladimir Medinsky, the Chair of the Organizing Committee of "Sochi 2014", Dmitry Chernyshenko, Sochi and the Krasnodar Krai administration officials, and the ambassador of "Sochi 2014", the artistic director of the Kuban Cossack Choir, Victor Zakharchenko.

The program includes two thematic sessions - "Cultural program of the Games-2014. Plans, Vision, Trends" and "The Year of Museums (2013) of the Cultural Olympiad "Sochi 2014". Program, Vision, Best Practices."
