Information technology and libraries: Samara local history editions to be digitized

Samara Regional Universal Scientific Library has summarized the results of an open e-auction on the implementation of digitization of local history publications of Samara.

The project will created an electronic information resource that represents an array of more than 100,000 images of primary source documents.

This project will allow the Samara region to preserve the unique character of local history information and provide access to users.

Authorization to digitize Samara’s local history editions has been given to ELAR Corporation. The auction was held in the framework of the program "Development of information and telecommunication infrastructure of the Samara region for 2012-2015.".
