Libraries of Russia: State Library of Yugra awarded the international quality certificate

According to the results of the certification audit, conducted by the certification organ of integrated systems of quality management “ROSTEHSERT” (Yekaterinburg), the State Library of Yugra (Khanty-Mansiysk), a conformance certificate № 04256 of the quality management system requirements GOST RISO 9001-2008 and international Qualite Fustria-certificate, which confirms the use and further development of existing quality management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 is issued.

Advances in the field of library management, the level of provision of library and information services, effective use of electronic information technology, professional competence of the staff have been appreciated. Especially noteworthy is the fact that the State Library of Yugra is the only cultural institution in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, which received these certificates.

Since the 1980s, foreign libraries, mainly academic and university, began to apply quality management to improve its activity.

In Russia, the experience of quality management in libraries is not very common; there are few examples of certification of libraries. Now the list has expanded with the State Library of Yugra!
