Peoples of Russia: Events, dedicated to the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the unification of the peoples of Mordovia and the Russian Federation, in Saransk

In the capital of Mordovia – Saransk – events, dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the unification of the peoples of Mordovia and the Russian Federation, are officially held.

The grand celebration is called the main event of the year in the Republic – a delegation from almost all over the country has already come to Mordovia to participate in the festive events which will be held from 23 to 25 August. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, the governors of the Russian regions and foreign guests of the Finno-Ugric countries - Finland, Estonia, Hungary will be the participants of the anniversary celebrations.

As reported in the organizing committee, the program of the holiday includes many activities: within three days in Saransk will host exhibitions, theatrical performances, performances of creative groups, presentations, arts and crafts, which will feature nearly all regions of the country.

Thus, August 23, the forum of peoples of Russia is open, which takes place at the Opera House of the capital of Mordovia. August 24, Saransk residents and arriving guests will be witnesses of the bright colorful spectacle - the March parade of people of Russia, whose members will go out to the main street in traditional costumes. The culmination of the holiday will be a one hundred thousandth rally under the slogan "We are all - Russia".

On August 25, a visit to Saransk of the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill is scheduled. He will take part in the consecration and the laying of new churches.
