Internet and society: The domain zone .DETI will host about 120 000 of domain names during the first three years

Deputy Director General of the Internet Technical Center Marina Nikerova in the framework of the master class, organized by the Agency of Strategic Initiatives said that in domain zone DETI will be about 120 thousand of domain names during the first three years of existence.

Also, M. Nikerova noted that the price of a domain name in the children's internet zone will not significantly exceed the standard price for a domain in .RU or .РФ.

An application for a domain .DETI was submitted by Coordination Center for ITC (CC) in spring of the current year under the program of new Top Level Domains (new gTLD). Now we do not know when .DETI appears because ICANN has not yet decided how it will determine the order in which processing of applications. According to the latest corporate data, the first root domains may appear in the end of the third quarter of 2013.
