Electronic resources: Round table, dedicated to the electronic library systems is held in Moscow

On August 17, 2012 an Information and analytical magazine "University Book" together with the Russian Association of Electronic Libraries conduct in the Russian State Library (Moscow) a debatable round-table titled "ELS: wanted the best, but it turned out ...?".

Recently issue of digitization of printed books has been widely discussed, its release in electronic form and use in the educational process. When it comes to textbooks for schools and universities, the approach to these issues must be very prudent and cautious, and no financial interests should interfere with this process.

Topics for discussion:

- How survives the publisher of textbook today? How does he evaluate the effectiveness with ELS?

- What is worth considering the formation of range of ELS?

- What are the criteria for choosing DEC of the library? What is the demand of these resources?

- What do the libraries take in the field of more active implementation of ELS to the learning process?
