Exhibitions: Exposition “Sun city. The art of socialist realism of 1930-1950s” in Vladimir

An exhibition “Sun city. The art of the socialist realism of 1930-1950s” opens on August 17, 2012 in the Chambers of the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum Reserve.

This is a joint project of the State Museum and Exhibition Center "ROSIZO" and the State Vladimir-Suzdal Museum Reserve. Artworks, presented in the exposition: painting, sculpture, poster, china - more than 40 items from the museum's collections - are vivid documents of the era, reflecting in visual images an important period in the history of the country with the fervor of its creativity and enthusiasm, achievements and errors. The project organizers did not put before themselves to deliberately impossible task - to acquaint the Vladimir public with the art of 1930-1950s. The aim of the exhibition is different - to give an idea about the phenomenon of “socialist realism”.
