Information technology and museums: A unique multimedia equipment to be installed in the Art Museum of Sochi

The Art Museum of Sochi will be modernized in the framework of the preparation and conduction of XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014.

The Russian Ministry of Culture sent to the modernization of the museum 56 million rubles, - said the director of the Sochi Art Museum Peter Hrisanov. – Modern multimedia equipment, which museums still do not have, will be purchased with the help of this money. The innovative equipment will go to the museum in the near future.

He noted that in the end of August in the Art museum will take place the number of exhibitions.

The Art Museum of Sochi – is the monument of architecture of the federal significance. At present, it covers an area of 0.67 hectares. The total area is 2605 square meters, the exhibition space covers 1537 square meters, and the storage facility covers 200 square meters.
