Information technology and education: “Smart Globe” for children education of geography is created

American company Oregon Scientific has presented on the Russian market a novelty in the product line for the development and education of children aged of 5 years: Smart Globe 3 (SG-18).

The Globe with the diameter of 260 mm offers more than 30 thematic categories for the study of geography alone or with friends. Among those games are: the leaders of countries, currencies, time zones, continents, capitals, population, altitude above sea level of mountain peaks, the distances between geographic locations and national anthems.

To listen to the audio materials, you can use built-in speaker, and the speaker, accompanying to it a «smart" pen or headphones.

The Information for training remains relevant because of the possibility of updating via the Internet. The Globe has a built-in memory, and its "smart" pen is connected to the USB-port of the computer. Retractable geographical map of the home region allows us to study the geography of the country during a virtual journey around the planet.
