The Park “Russia”, in which the country will be recreated in miniature, will appear in Domodedovo of the Moscow region, said the Governor of the region, the President of the Russian Geographical Society Sergey Shoygu.

According to the governor, in the park "Russia" will be featured "all 17 million of square kilometers of the historic natural and cultural mosaic that makes up a single image of the country".

"It will actually recreate our country in miniature. Here you can climb on Elbrus, to cross the Yenisei, to participate in polar expeditions and archaeological excavations, to ride a bicycle from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad, to spend the night in tents in Kamchatka or in Ussuri taiga", - said Sergey Shoygu.

Besides, this complex will include a safari park with recreated natural habitat of animals.

According to Sergey Shoygu, the exhibition and museum complex will unit many architectural monuments and sculptures.

“The ethnographic complex of the park will be an ideal platform for cultural exchange”, - added the Governor.

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of ​​creating a new landscape-recreational complex "Russia" in the Moscow region.

He stressed that it is a national project on the establishment of a museum park "Russia" on which territory the exhibition will host expositions of all parts of the country.

At the presentation of the project it is said that the park can be located on the territory of 300 hectares expandable to 1000 hectares. It is planned that it will attract no less than 10 million visitors a year, including foreign ones.

The authors proposed to coincide a project with the symbolic bookmark of the park "Russia" with the participation of heads of regions and the country's leadership for the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino (August 2012), or the Day of National Unity (November 2012).

"This event will be a landmark accord that completes the celebrations of the 1150 anniversary of the origin of the Russian statehood," – as it is said at the presentation.
