
History of Russia: The “living history” festival “The Volga Route” in the Ulyanovsk region
The "living history" festival the "Volga Route", where the medieval atmosphere of the Middle Volga region will be recreated, is held for the first time from August 6-12, 2012 in the Ulyanovsk region.
The festival is taken place in the tourist facility "Archeopark" in the village of New Bedenga (20 kilometers from Ulyanovsk) and agro-tourist complex "Russian coast" in the village of Old Main, located on the opposite bank of the Volga.
In the framework of the festival for the first time in Russia a scientific conference on experimental archaeology which will bring together about 30 researchers from Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Russia will be held.
Also in the framework of the festival the shooting of the documentary-staged film “Rus’. From Dusk to Dawn” (the Golden Key Entertainment film company, Moscow) will be held.
