Information technology and libraries: Special library designed specifically for the iPad to appear in the Kremlin

The Presidential Document Processing Directorate is developing an electronic catalog of books from the Presidential book holdings for the needs of government officials.

A part of Presidential book holdings will be included to the electronic library. Books of those fields of sciences with which specialists of the Kremlin administration face every day will be selected. In particular, the registry will include unique publications on state construction, legislation and law.

The peculiarity of the electronic library is that you can log it while connecting to the local network as well as the off-line mode.

- The initiative to create such a library belongs to the Presidential Administration - said the press secretary of the Presidential Property Management Department Viktor Khrekov.

A book depository is based on all library holdings of residences of the President. Experts will develop a common electronic catalog, which will link all the existing information resources of the President. For the convenience of using a large array of information will be implemented a relevant search, which takes into account the morphology of the Russian language.
