Russian culture abroad: Week of Russian language and Russian culture in Paris

September 21, 2012 the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Paris has opened the week of Russian language and Russian culture. The event is organized with the support of the Centre of International education of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The week of Russian language and Russian culture, organized under the federal target program "Russian Language" in 2011-2015, is held as part of Seasons of Russian language and literature in France. Its program includes theoretical and practical workshops on raising children in bilingual families and teaching them of the Russian language in different linguistic environment.

Specialists from LMSU hold trainings on the maintenance of linguistic and ethno-cultural identity of children of compatriots, as well as master classes for the teaching of the Russian language and work with modern teaching aids. Everyone who came these days to the RCSC will be able to visit open lessons of the Russian language.

Russian-French Seasons of the language and literature were open at the same time in Paris and Moscow this January. They are designed to continue the rapprochement of cultures of the two countries after the unprecedented scale of the Russian Language and Russian Culture in France, held in 2010. The program of "cross" seasons includes more than 70 events in both countries.
