World culture: Photo exhibition “Greece. Holy Meteora” in Novosibirsk

September 21, 2012 the Novosibirsk State Art Museum opens a photo exhibition “Greece. Holy Meteors”.

An exhibition “Greece. Holy Meteora”, organized with the blessing of Metropolitan Tikhon and conducted by the Novosibirsk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church together with the Novosibirsk State Art Museum presented in it photo works of participants of pilgrimage, tells about amazing places as, for example, is the Holy Meteora – the mountain monk country, the second after the Holy Mountain Athos Center of the Orthodox monasticism in Greece. “Meteora” in Greek means “soaring in the air” So is the complex of monasteries and hermitages which are located on the tops of mountains.

The photo exhibition will run at the Novosibirsk State Art Museum from September 21 to October 21, 2012.
