
International events: Theoretical and Practical Seminar “Russian-German Pedagogical Dialogue” in St. Petersburg
September 19-20, 2012 in the framework of the Year of Germany in Russia and the Year of Russia in Germany, the St. Petersburg State University is hosting a scientific workshop, "Russian-German Pedagogical Dialogue."
This event aims to become a platform for direct professional communication between specialists in Russian philology and in Germanic studies of the two countries, showcasing new developments in the teaching of Russian and German as foreign languages.
Professional competence of foreign language teachers, training of Russian-speaking migrants in Germany, the identity of the Russian Germans, Russian as a language of specialization, integration of university programs in the preparation for the testing under the TORFL system, training in Russia, the modern methods of teaching German, Russian language in German diaspora - these and other issues are on the agenda of the seminar. Participants of the event will also focus on the new challenges in the teaching of foreign language caused by geopolitical and socio-cultural factors of the present.
The first day of the workshop is devoted to teaching Russian as a foreign language in Germany and Russia, the program of the second day will focus on teaching the German language to Russians. As part of the program, each day there will be a teleconference with language centers in Russia and Germany.
