Russian museums: “Pushkin Museum” presents an open air exhibition in Moscow

September 12, 2012 the Pushkin Museum of Visual Arts presents “The Open Air Museum" exhibition dedicated to the centenary of the museum.

In the center of Moscow, on Gogol Boulevard, are displayed unique illustrations, reflecting the development of the Museum for over a century. Creation of the Museum, the change of its status, the growth of its collections, the development of new activities, the change of priorities, are revealed through key events and figures which determined the image of GMII in different time. The exhibition, consisting of 64 stands, includes photographs, newsreels, catalogs, reproductions of works held by the Pushkin Museum.
