International events: Photo exhibition about Russia and Kazakhstan relationship opened in Moscow

Photo exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan was opened in Moscow in Chistoprudny Boulevard.

To the public attention are presented 50 photographs from the archives of the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, the Kazakh state news agency Kazinform, the Kazakhstan Ministry of Culture and other state institutions of the Republic.

These photos capture the historical moment of signing a treaty of friendship and cooperation by Russian President Boris Yeltsin and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the subsequent meeting of the head of Kazakhstan with the Russian leaders - Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev.

Visitors of the exhibition, held in the open air, can in retrospect see other significant events in Russia and Kazakhstan: Patriarch Kirill consecrated the Assumption Cathedral in Astana, Kazakhstan's performance artists on the new stage of the Bolshoi Theatre, the start of the spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, joint military exercises of the Russian-Kazakh within the CSTO and others.

The exhibition will run till September 28.
