The Presidential Library prepares for publication the third issue of the collection of research works “Digital Library”

The Presidential Library prepares for publication the third issue of the collection of research works from the “Digital Library” series. The collection “Coordination and Standardization in the Sphere of Creation and Use of National Information Resources” included articles of key Russian and foreign specialists in the sphere of formation of digital libraries.

The collection includes articles covering scientific-organizational and legal bases of formation of integrated digital resources, the place and role of libraries in the Semantic Web as well as publications of standardization of scanning and cataloging of different types of electronic documents. Several articles disclose the theme of information technology and systems as the foundation of effective access and formation of digital resources. The publications reflect the work experiences of the National Library of Belarus, the National Parliamentary Library of Ukraine, the National Library of the Czech Republic, the Library of Congress, the Bavarian State Library and the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library.

The layout of the collection is presented at the Presidential Library web site. The printed version will soon be released and distributed at the request of libraries, archives and museums.
