Society and the Church: The fifth International festival of Orthodox Media “Faith and the Word” in Moscow

New forms of the cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the media are being discussed by the participants of the Fifth International Festival of Orthodox Media "Faith and the Word" Forum, which opens October 29, 2012 in the suburban boarding house, gathered about 500 representatives of church media.

During the first two days there will be panel discussions on issues of relations between the Church and the media, presentations of the diocesan press services. Well-known journalists, editors and media experts of federal media will take part in round tables.

This year, a special attention will be devoted to the interaction of church and secular media, expanding opportunities for all media from the era of digital television.

On October 31, at the closing day of the festival, the Christ the Savior Cathedral will host a meeting of its members with the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. From the hall it can be possible to ask questions of the Russian Orthodox Church. Moreover, the web site of the Synodal Information Department during the month collected questions from the public.
