The mail service Gmail has launched the function that allows translating words, entering Latin transcription. It is stated in the official blog of Gmail.

With the help of this new function, for example, you can write words in Russian transliteration, and to get them in Cyrillic. Service is available in all 19 non-Latin layouts.

You can turn it on in your account settings: in the tab "Main" section in the "Language" you see "Enable transliteration". There, the user can select the language of transliteration by default. To change it will be in the process of writing a letter.

In May 2012, the Gmail was embedded with interpreter. It automatically detects the language of the received message, and if that is different from the set of the user, offering to translate the text.

As of June 2012 the service was enjoyed by 425 million people.
