Memory of Russia: International scientific conference “The era of 1812 in the fates of Russia and Europe” in Moscow

October 8-11, 2012 the State Historical Museum (SHM), the Institute of Russian History, the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS IRI) and the Federal Archival Agency (Rosarchive) hold the International scientific conference "The era of 1812 in the fates of Russia and Europe".

The conference includes the following topics:

- Events and people of the era of 1812: new researches;

- The Patriotic War of 1812 and foreign campaigns of the Russian Army in 1813-1814 in the context of European and international relations;

- The era of 1812 in social consciousness and culture of Russia and the European peoples;

- The Patriotic War of 1812 and foreign campaigns of the Russian Army in 1813-1814 in historical monuments, museum collections, archival documents;

- Museumification and memory of European military events of 1812-1814 in the world;

- Celebration of anniversaries of the Patriotic War of 1812;

- The era of 1812 in domestic and foreign historiography.
