Society and Mass Media: The All-Russian educational and practical forum of regional media “New Media Russia” in Volgograd

In Volgograd, on October 5-7, 2012 with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of Russia is taking place the Russian educational and practical regional media forum "New Media Russia", which was attended by over 150 journalists and media managers from the 65 regions of the country. The forum was organized by the Academy of Media Industry and the Government of the Volgograd region with the participation of NATO heads of regional media.

The event program includes both a detailed discussion of professional issues (principles of openness when dealing with public authorities, and new media formats) and public works (coverage of religious and ethnic tolerance, especially the work of journalists in covering emergency situations, the role of the media in the patriotic education of the audience).

Much attention to the program of the forum was paid to various formats of education and training. As part of the 'creative' workshops are held expert presentations on the development of social media, business, journalism and media performance as a business.
