Scientists, working with the probe "Cassini", have published pictures of Titan, taken during the last convergence of the device with the satellite of Saturn. Pictures and theirs descriptions are available at the portal UniverseToday.

The probe "Cassini" has passed close to Titan, from September 26-27, 2012. The photographs are the result of processing images taken separately through the blue, red and green channels.

The photographs show clearly a bluish haze. According to scientists, the haze is the result of complex chemical reactions of methane destruction by ultraviolet light in the upper atmosphere of Titan. The altitude of the haze is 300-400 km. The next convergence with the satellite of Saturn is scheduled for November 13, 2012.

Titan is of great interest to astronomers because the satellite is the second celestial body after the Earth, which detected the cycle fluid, similar to water cycle.
