Society and culture: International Scientific Conference “Documentation of theatre heritage” in Moscow

The Russian State Library of Arts, the A. A. Bachrushin State Central Theatre Museum, the State Institute of Art with the participation of the Russian Institute of Art History on November 27-29, 2012 hold in Moscow the International Scientific Conference “Documentation of theatre heritage”.

In the framework of the conference it is planning the round table on: “Theatre document in the modern scientific practice” and “Theatre heritage in the digital environment”.

Issues on theater set design will be discussed at a separate meeting.

A special meeting is held to the 90th anniversary of the Russian State Library of Arts. It involves consideration of a wide range of issues of the history of theatre collections, book collections, archives, and the problems of their use and conservation and etc.

Theatre goers and theatrical figures, library specialists, museum workers, bibliographers, cultural workers, philologists, editors and teachers are invited.
