Russian regions: Local history conference “Velikiye Luki in the history and culture of the Pskov Krai and Russia” in Velikiye Luki

November 22, 2012 the Semevsky Central City Library of Velikiye Luki hosts Scientific and Practical local history Conference "Velikiye Luki in the history and culture of the Pskov Krai and Russia."

The issues considered at the conference:

- Velikiye Luki and Pskov region in the history of the Russian statehood.

- Velikiye Luki local history: history and modernity.

- Urgent problems of the teaching of national history.

- The problems of local history in educational work of educational institutions.

To take part in the conference there have been invited scholars, teachers of higher and secondary education, workers of archives, libraries, museums, governmental, municipal and non-governmental organizations, journalists, and local history specialists.
