Information technology and society: Technology of making the large screen from smart phones and tablets is presented

Scientists from the University of Technology of Tokyo have presented a technology that allows producing a single screen from multiple sensor devices - such as smart phones and tablets.

The technology is called Pinch through finger gestures, which is used to connect the screens of both devices. After connection established, the two displays will show the overall picture. Part of the picture will be displayed on the screen of one device and part of the picture - on the screen of another. Devices "negotiate" with each other about which and what part of the picture is displayed on Wi-Fi.

Devices can be combined in both the horizontal and vertical directions. Displays of the devices that make up the "screen" can be of different sizes - for example, one device may be a tablet, and the rest - smart phones.
