Information technology and archives: Documentation Center of the Contemporary History of the Orenburg region is newly equipped for scanning

The Documentation Center of the Contemporary History of the Orenburg region and the “Electronic Archive” Corporation installed the planetary scanner ELAR PlanSkan A2-TS3R.

The Documentation Center of the Contemporary History is one of the largest institutions of the archive service of the Orenburg region. Its holdings contain more than 800 items, including documents of the social and political movements, organizations and agencies.

The installation of the specialized scanning equipment will allow Center to increase the effectiveness of execution of functions such as preservation and public accounting documents, creation of insurance holdings, the provision of public services as well as development of automated system of accounting documents and searching for them.
