History of Russia: All-Russian Theoretical and Practical seminar “Three martial fields of Russia: Military history and archaeology” in the Tula Region

November 20-23, 2012 in the village of Monastyrshchino, the State Museum Preserve "Kulikovo Field" is holding the All-Russian Theoretical and Practical Seminar "Three martial fields of Russia: Military history and archeology."

At the scientific forum a wide range of issues of military history and archeology of three martial fields of Russia - Kulikovo, Borodino and Prokhorovka will be discussed. Among the issues discussed - a modern scientific level of study of major military events in Russian history, the possibility of reconstruction of defensive and offensive weapons, tactical battles of the Middle Ages and modern times. One of the central themes of the seminar - the impact of the Battle of Kulikovo as one of the major events of the Middle Ages on the historical fate of the peoples of Russia and neighboring countries.

The conference is attended by representatives of the leading research centers and museums of Russia, Belarus, the Baltic States and Ukraine.
