International events: International Academic Conference "Goethe – Tolstoy: Dialogue of Two Olympians" in terms of the Russia-Germany Year in Tula region

November 19-21, 2012, in terms of the Russia-Germany Year and the project "Goethe-Tolstoy", International Academic Conference "Goethe – Tolstoy: Dialogue of Two Olympians" take place at the State Memorial and Natural Preserve "Museum-estate of Leo Tolstoy "Yasnaya Polyana".

At the sessions of the Conference the following issues are to be discussed: the works of Goethe and Tolstoy in context of World and Russian Literature, philosophy and religion; the problems of influences, interactions, ties, community and differences, bounds and parallels in reception of the writers' works; the past and the future of Goethe and Tolstoy studies.
