Information technology and science: Google presented a map of starry sky in 3D

The U.S. Company Google presented a new product - a starry sky map in 3D from the collection of applications “Chrome Experiment”. The map includes more than 100 thousand space objects.

According to the developers of the program, it will be of interest not only to specialists but also to students. Having chosen an object on the map, users will have an opportunity to approach it and examine from all sides. In addition, they will have access to the database on different planets, stars, comets and other "inhabitants" of the cosmos.

According to the representative of the Google’s creative laboratory, Aaron Koblin "program developers have tried to present the entire beauty of the universe, to ensure maximum "presence effect" and provide the sensation of a flight.

The map was created on the basis of the developments and images of NASA and the European Space Agency.
