History of Russia: Unique documents are presented at the exhibition “Winged century of Russia” in Moscow

November 14, 2012 at the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" in Moscow opened a unique exhibition "Winged Century of Russia", which presents the entire history of the Russian and Soviet military aircraft - from the flying machine by Sikorsky to space planes today. Exactly 100 years ago, the Emperor Nicholas II signed a decree on the establishment of the country's Air Force, and in the same 1912 there was held the first in Moscow aeronautical salon.

A unique exhibition includes previously unpublished photographs of developments of Soviet aircrafts of the 30s.

The exhibition features about 100 models of aircrafts, from helicopters to jet airplanes, allowing following the evolution of the human dream of flight. Some of them, such as the First World War fighter "Nieuport" or modern space drone "Bor", visitors can see it life-sized, and with this rifle, cannon and missile and bomb armament.
