Society and science: The All-Russian Forum “No day without science” dedicated to the memory of Sergei Kapitsa, opened in Perm

November 9, 2012 in Perm opened the forum "No day without science". Sergei Kapitsa, the famous physicist, supported the idea of the forum in his time. After his death in August 2012, it was decided that the forum in Perm would be dedicated to his memory and legacy of the scholar and promotion of science.

The forum aims to attract young people of the Kama region to the scientific and research activities, to strengthen ties of the regional and capital schools, to continue developing of the relationship between basic science and the new, knowledge-intensive production.

The forum is attended by scientists from Moscow, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Tomsk, Perm, makers (directors, screenwriters, producers) of educational films which are participating at the VII International Film Festival "World of Knowledge", successful young Russian scientists, including the Perm region. Participants will give lectures on the current level of development of Russian and world science. In the framework of the forum there will be review and discussion of educational films with the participation of scholars and students.
