Internet resources: Online encyclopedia Wikipedia has added the ability to download video

The world's largest online encyclopedia Wikipedia has added the ability for registered users to supplement articles with video - it was the result of the development, which has been lasted for four years, said the press service of Wikipedia.

The project on integration of the video content in Wikipedia was launched in 2008, and has since its launch was postponed several times due to technical problems that could be solved only by now.

“The new video player, with the help of which the readers will be able to watch educational and sci-fi videos, now is available at Wikipedia and its sister sites”, - said the press service.

Currently, Wikipedia contains about 15 000 videos. To expand the library it is planned through users’ contents as well as through free educational and sci-fi video content, already posted on YouTube.
