Museums of Russia: The exhibition “Christmas Tale” in the Museum Reserve “Kolomenskoe”

The Museum Reserve “Kolomenskoye”, the exhibition halls of the Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich hosted an exhibition “Christmas Tale”.

The exhibition features more than 500 items of 1930s-1960s from private collections: Christmas decorations made ​​of glass, wool, cardboard, costumes, masks, and festive New Year’s posters, photos of children’s New Year festivals, the New Year celebration in the family, the New Year festivities and others.

The exposition presents a variety of Christmas decorations: the heroes of fairy tales of Pushkin “The Tale of Tsar Saltan”, “The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish”, “The Golden Cockerel”, K. I. Chukovsky, “Doctor Aybolit”, Gianni Rodari “The Adventures of the Little Onion”, Russian folk tales, as well as figures of children, clowns, animals, birds, fish, vegetables, fruit.
