Information technology and history: Database of Military Archives is created

The “Electronic Archive” Corporation has completed a project on digitization of documents funds of White Army of the Russian State Military Archive into the format of full-text electronic database "Documents of White Army". Works are performed in the framework of the federal target program "Culture of Russia (2012-2018)".

As a result, the specialists of the Corporation have digitized 14,500 pages of documents from the collection № 39456 "The army headquarters of the great Don regiment" for 1917-1920. The resulting array is transferred to an electronic database format and is uploaded to the information search system.

The project aims to improve the performance of employees with a given set of archive documents and applications of citizens, as well as the preservation of archival collections in Russia.
