A new building of the National Center for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) will be built in Moscow at Khodynka Field, said at a news briefing the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky.
The museum on the basis of the existing National Center for Contemporary Art (NCCA), according to the Minister, will be the “taproot” of the development of the entire area.
Earlier it was planned that the building for the museum will be built at the Bauman Street on the site of the former Bashmanny market. However, in autumn 2012 it was decided to reject the current draft, which considered being too expensive.
Previously, the building of NCCA was to be built by 2015, but now the new museum for contemporary arts is going to be built by 2018.
