World history and culture: Exhibition “The Dinar Caesar. Money in the New Testament and church tradition” in Saint-Petersburg

An exhibition "Dinar Caesar. Money in the New Testament and church tradition" opened on December 20, 2012 at the State Museum of the History of Religion (St. Petersburg). It presents more than 200 objects - numismatics, paintings, drawings, decorative arts. The oldest of the included in the exhibition date of the I century AD.

The exhibition at the Museum of the History of Religion can plunge into the everyday life of New Testament time, to learn about the history of money circulation in the East Roman Empire and the iconography of evangelical scenes, and to find out what impact they have had on the future of the Christian church.
