Information technology and Russian regions: Project “Virtual history” to allow seeing the sights of Tomsk at the smart phone screen

December 17, 2012 the M. B. Shatilov Tomsk regional local history museum holds the presentation of a project “Virtual history”, displaying at the smart phone screen the image of the city in a historical retrospection.

The project “Virtual history” is all-Russian. Since December, Tomsk residents and guests of the city will be able to see at screens of their phones the look of historical city sights years ago. With the help of downloaded application Historypin as well as due to the unique materials from the photo fund of the local history museum everyone will be able to see historical images of the existing objects at the maps of the city.
