Museums of Russia: Ulyanovsk to open the representation office of the Pushkin Museum

The representation office of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts will be open in September next year in Ulyanovsk. A new playground will be the place of museum exhibition and thematic meetings. The cooperation agreement was signed in Moscow by the Director of the Metropolitan Museum Irina Antonova and the governor Sergei Morozov.

According to the governor, the document provides to assist Ulyanovsk during exhibitions, providing not only exhibits but also intellectual resources.

The Government of the Ulyanovsk region sets ambitious goals - to provide visitors with quality content. This is important especially for pupils and students of Ulyanovsk, for information projects will help in the learning process and help maximize the acquaintance with masterpieces. According to S. Morozov, it is optimally to hold two or three joint exhibitions a year.

The Pushkin Museum has a long history of cooperation with the Plastov Ulyanovsk museum of contemporary art. In 1996 the first joint exhibition was held since there was successfully organized ten such projects. Residents of the Ulyanovsk region were able to see works by Picasso, Chagall, Dali, Goya, Rodin, masters of the Japanese engraving. Three exhibitions were dedicated to the art of the ancient Egypt.
