Society and culture: International Cultural Congress “Time of Culturology” in Moscow

December 12-15, 2012 Moscow hosts the International Cultural Congress “Time of Culturology”. The Congress is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. 

The main objectives of the Congress are place and role of modern cultural studies in the system of social and humanitarian studies, the organization of a single space for the exchange of ideas and creative discussion on the issues of cultural studies, the propaganda of the strategic meaning of cultural studies for state building and management.

As part of the Congress a plenary session, sections and round tables where scientists will discuss the role of cultural studies in social, political, educational and economic issues will take place.

The Congress is attended by leading Russian and foreign specialists, presented various cultural schools and directions.
