Information technology and culture: Conference, dedicated to the latest multimedia technology in culture, in Saint-Petersburg

From December 10 to 12, 2012 the Saint-Petersburg State University hosts the National Conference “The use of the latest technology for research, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage objects”.

The subject area of the event includes such sections as:

- The use of modern technology in the museum space. Creation of interactive expositions;

- Opportunities and challenges of restoration of monuments of cultural heritage with the use of computer technology;

- Techniques of virtual reconstructions of cultural monuments;

- Virtual museums and technology of education;

- The use of modern multimedia technology for research, conservation and restoration of objects of cultural heritage.
