Society and culture: Exhibition “There miracles are…” dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the premiere of M. I. Glinka’s Opera “Ruslan and Lyudmila” in Saint-Petersburg

December 6, 2012 the West building of Estate museum of G. R. Derzhavin (St. Petersburg) hosted the opening of the exhibition "There miracles are..." from the collection of the National Pushkin Museum. So the Museum celebrates the 170th anniversary of the first performance of Glinka's Opera "Ruslan and Lyudmila".

The exhibition features sketches of the scenery and costumes for the first production of the opera in Russia and abroad. Among them are works by A. A. Roller, V. A. Hartmann, I. I. Gornostaev and other great masters.

A fantastic atmosphere is created at the exhibition not only because of the masterpieces of the museum, but also with the help of interactive programs for children and adult visitors.

The exhibition runs till the end of January 2013.
