The exhibition “Children’s costume of the XVIII – early XX century” opened at the State Historical Museum in Moscow.

The exhibition features unique collection of children’s clothes in its development and style diversity as part of the history of national culture. 

The exposition focuses on main stages of evolution of children’s costume from the Enlightenment to the Modern style, from copying the adult fashion till the practical and comfortable children’s clothes. It is completed with sheets from fashion magazines, embroidered by children’s portraits and photographs.
