“Yandex” has signed a partnership agreement with the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN).

The company has become the first Russian member of CERN openlab a Cooperation Research Center with IT companies. In addition to Yandex, the project includes HP, Huawei, Intel, Oracle и Siemens.

By the agreement with CERN, “Yandex” will provide research Center with its computing resources and technology, including machine learning algorithms “Matriksnet”. It allows you to search for complex queries, when you should take into account a number of criteria. At CERN the “Matriksnet” is operated to analyze the test results.

“Yandex” is collaborating with CERN since 2011. First, the company allocated to Science Center servers, and then, in spring of 2012, developed for CERN the search service.
