To the 150th anniversary of the birth of Stanislavsky, the Russian video service RuTube has launched for its users a section “Theatre”. Now it collects more than thirty TV versions of performances as well as series of programs about theatre.

“Here is presented a whole theatre era – from the fifties of the last century to the present day: Moscow Art Theatre productions, The Gorky Moscow Art Theatre, the Small Theatre”, - as emphasized in the media holding Gazprom-Media. It was noted that “with the help of RuTube collection it is possible to learn about the history of Soviet and Russian theatre: “Dead Souls”, put by Stanislavsky, works by Oleg Efremov for the Moscow Art Theatre as well as others well-known plays which are still staging in Moscow theaters”.

The section “Theater” will be continuously updated with new productions.
